Shipping your car to another destination is not as difficult as the idea may seem, provided that you are supplied with the correct information from square one.

The selection of your international shipping company is the first and foremost decision you will need to make. You can find a listing in your local yellow pages or online using a search engine. Most agents will give you a free quote so you can make as many inquiries as you need to until you find the one for you. Factors you should take into consideration when making your selection are:

• Do they have good recommendations and track record?
• Can the provide references to confirm this?
• Have they been in the business for a considerable amount of time? Be careful of fly-by-night companies
• Are they reasonably priced?
• Do they offer personalized service?
• Do they guarantee the delivery date? Some companies have a clause written into their terms and conditions that will relieve them of any responsibility to arrive on the proposed delivery date. You could end up waiting an extended period of time over and above what you expected.

You will need to provide your international shipping company with certain information regarding your car and where you plan to ship it. For example:

• You will need to provide original papers for the vehicle to prove ownership
• Make of the car, model and other specifications
• Origin and destination
• Estimated date of departure

All vehicle transporters must carry insurance, but what they actually cover varies from one international shipping company to another. They also may only have insurance secondary to your own, so it is imperative that you check what they are liable for and what you are responsible for. In some cases, if the insurance cover is not sufficient then you can top it up to a more attractive option.

Leaving your car in someone else’s hands is a huge test for anybody. But with a highly regarded international shipping company, your worries will be minor. On collection, a pre-shipping inspection of your car will be done and a report will be compiled. This is to ensure that any damage currently existing on the car will not be made the shipping agent’s responsibility. It is a good idea to be present when the inspection is done.

More importantly, on receiving your car at its proposed destination, the inspection report will be brought out again and checked against your car for any damage imposed to the vehicle during transit. Make sure that you check your car thoroughly and slowly with the shipping agent present.

Other points to note:

• It is illegal to store anything in your car when it is being transported by an international shipping company
• All alarms and anti theft devices need to be disarmed before your vehicle is loaded
• Any loose items must be secured properly, or completely detached
• The laws regarding shipping of automobiles vary from country to country. It is advisable to confirm with the customs officials of your chosen destination what is required for entry into the country.

As soon as the fire in your home is out, you might be pretty anxious to re-enter the home and start the cleanup process, but if you do not take the time out to get some professional advice from your insurance claims adjuster, you will probably just be wasting your time or even possibly causing more damage than you repair. Your insurance adjuster can give you some advice on how to restore or replace anything that was damaged in the fire or refer you to a professional fire restoration company.

Fire restoration companies can give you some tips to help prevent more damage from happening to your home and determine which items in your home can be refurbished. They will also give you an estimate on how much it will cost to clean and deodorize the home thoroughly and even though the services of such a company can be expensive, it might be a lot less than actually having to replace the damaged furniture and floors of the home.

If you cannot afford a fire restoration company’s services, there are still some things that you can do on your own, but be sure that your fire marshal says that it is safe for you to go back in your home before you do, though.

Get some air circulating through the home first; do this by opening windows and doors and using a fan to get the air moving around. If there has been a lot of water damage due to the fire trucks doing their job and it is warm outside, you will want to instead use a dehumidifier and leave the windows and doors shut. During cold weather, you will be running your heater and the furnace filter should be replaced until there is no soot in it.

Any wet items should be dried immediately. Carpets and drapes must be dried thoroughly.

A heavy duty vacuum cleaner may be needed to remove the soot and other burnt particles from your carpet and floors. If you cannot afford to hire a professional cleaner to do this, do not use an upright vacuum cleaner or attachments because this will only set the soot and ash further into the carpet. After you are done vacuuming the carpets, cover them with tarp to continue the cleaning process without soiling the carpet further.

Any copper or brass items need to be removed as soon as possible and cleaned with an appropriate metal cleaning chemical. Smoke can severely damage these items if left untreated for over 24 hours.

One of the most frequent and well known causes of home insurance claims is water damage. It is not a pleasant experience to discover that not everything in your home insurance policy is covered, but it happens nonetheless. If an appliance such as a dishwasher begins to leak uncontrollably on a floor, or a pipe somehow bursts due to poor insulation during the winter and there is damage and mold left behind as a result, it is important to find out whether or not your insurance will cover it.

If a pipe was to burst during the winter while you were on vacation and you had not properly insulated it from the cold, you most likely will not be covered due to lack of preparation that would have helped to prevent this from happening in the first place.

You should be covered for any water damage caused by the seemingly disregardable act of letting your bathtub overflow, even if you were on the phone or cooking and not paying much attention and forgot to simply turn off the bath water. This accident is a fairly common occurrence.

Even in the common cases of a household appliance such as a dishwasher or washing machine suddenly malfunctioning and water gets all over the floor causing water damage, homeowner’s insurance will definitely cover this. Of course, you must pay for the necessary repairs on the machine on your own, but damage caused solely by the water is paid for by your insurance policy.

If the cause of the water damage is a leaky roof, and there is a heavy rain, you are covered by your insurance claim. You are also covered if rain seeps into your basement, if your basement floods into the basement and into the house itself. If a tree limb was to break off and damage your home and water damage to the structure resulted, then this would also be covered.

However, any water damage that may have been caused by a flood is not likely to be covered unless your insurance policy identifies a flood as a covered source of damage to your home. You must purchase flood insurance directly from the federal government, and your local community should be able to help you acquire any information as to whether they are a participant in the National Flood Insurance Program.

Most of us who have pets aren’t really aware that mold is just as dangerous to them as it is to us. In fact, pets, especially young ones and birds, are more susceptible to the affects of mold than human beings are. They are in the category of the first to suffer from the health complications associated with mold and some have even died while living in mold infested homes. Infants, pets, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems are the most threatened when it comes to most environment-related health risks. One kind of mold in particular is more dangerous to our pets than others are and that is blastomycoses.

Blastomycoses is also a dangerous kind of mold that has been known to cause pneumonia, skin, and other respiratory infections in our pets. Other organs can be infected and it’s no surprise that these symptoms and complications can also occur in human beings. Much like the canaries in mines that were used long ago to detect poisonous gases, pets are often the ones to warn us that there is a problem in our home. While blastomycoses is a natural part of our every day environments, excessive amounts of it can be extremely harmful. It takes the form of a mold in an indoor or outdoor environment, but when it comes into contact with human beings or animals, it becomes a yeast. Once it has taken on the form of yeast, it is no longer contagious. The animal (or human) can only contract blastomycoses by inhaling the mold spores or by allowing them to enter the body through a cut or sore on the skin.

Unfortunately, pneumonia is the most common form of blastomycoses symptoms in pets and can lead to eventual death if it isn’t untreated. Dogs often cough, become tired or lazy in appearance, have trouble breathing, and cease eating. Skin infections often are wet and itchy and can damage muscle and bone structure if something is not done about them.

Blastomycoses can be dealt with using antifungal medications and a full recovery can be made in up to six months, although a blasto infection is often misdiagnosed and by the time it is diagnosed correctly, it is often too late.

The dogs most affected by blasto are larger, male, young dogs, and any breed that spends a lot of time outdoors, even though blastomycoses is a mold that can grow indoors.

There is much debate about which city ought to be considered most ahead of the curve when it comes to remodeling trends, especially in kitchen design: New York? Chicago? Miami? LA? Custom kitchens are a dime a dozen these days, so it would be a great honor to be considered on the cutting edge of the innovation in the area of kitchen design. In my critical eye, one city and one city alone stands about the rest: New York City. NYC kitchens and NYC kitchen design stands apart in my mind because the way it is shaped by the hundreds of thousands of people who enlist the service of a good New York City kitchen designer.

NYC custom kitchens are by far ahead of the curve not only because of the myriad tastes they incorporate, but also because of the requirements placed upon them. In small apartment kitchens, design has to take into consideration space optimization for the ultimate efficiency, which will make the kitchen a joy to use. And yet in other cases, kitchens must reflect the status of their owners, taking advantage of grand Central Park vistas, for instance, or of cutting edge Italian kitchen design elements that will wow guests who attend the kitchen owners regular, extravagant social events.

By contrast, LA or Chicago custom kitchens do not compare to NY custom kitchens because of the stakes aren’t quite as high and the diversity isn’t as great. Los “angels” and Chicagoans aren’t quite as cramped in their quarters, don’t experience the same competition for the best or most attractive kitchen, and don’t have the benefit of kitchen designers who meet with the most demanding of customers on a regular basis to make their kitchens work for them. That’s why I feel that NYC custom kitchen are far superior, overall, to kitchens in other major US cities

We’ve put together lists of all the parts and wiring diagrams you need to change the wiring or simply renew old wiring into convenient to use packs. Each kit includes it’s own wiring diagram and parts list to tell you just how to do it.

Special Notes:

Rewiring an old guitar using the stock wiring diagram can be very frustrating. Wiring diagrams, whether stock or for a custom upgrade are mostly hard to find, and in many cases hard to comprehend, thus making them unlikely to work well.

Every diagram and part we list is fully tested many times to insure you get the vibe you want. Not only that, every component is designed to give outstanding life and the best tone that you have ever experienced.

The guitar wiring kit shown here is a 5-way lever action switch for all 3 pickup Fender Stratocaster’s, and other 3 pickup guitars. The kit has very detailed directions that are very well explained so most people will understand them with no problems.

Realistically speaking, so many people have their own personal wiring setups and parts they may interchange that GuitarPlayersCenter only feels comfy dealing in proven setups. In fact one of my personal fav’s is a setup that includes an EMG-SPC control knob being installed in a Stratocaster. What a great switch, at least in my opinion. I get the best service and prices from Guitar Center or Musicians Friend.

Don’t make a mistake, if you are not inclined to doing these upgrades, then take it to a competent luthier/guitar maker.

Remember to use a solder gun with a replaceable tip , top line solder and flux and don’t get the switches too hot.

Go to Guitar Players Center for all of your guitar needs from upgrades, lessons, reviewing certain models to purchasing them with the best prices and service in the industry.

Good luck and Enjoy.

When you are invited for a job interview, it pays to be prepared, and part of being prepared is knowing ahead of time how you are going to do certain things that will give you a competitive advantage. ITS helps you do this in six ways because it teaches you how to:

(1) Read the interviewer’s personality

(2) Maximize personal chemistry in minutes

(3) Communicate through memorable stories

(4) Have good questions ready

(5) Know all about the employer

(6) Answer difficult questions easily

ITS provides some guidance in both print and audio. Things you can learn include how to overcome objections while building rapport, how to select and prepare references, how to answer common questions, and much more. The surprising thing is, it does not take a person that long to be thoroughly prepared in all these areas, and once they’ve done the preparation, they’re set for the entire job search.

Many job seekers will find one section particularly interesting. It is titled ‘5 Proven Rules For Interviewing Success.’ It gives you detailed instructions on how to build personal chemistry in a number of ways, how to pay compliments, for example, without coming across as giving empty flattery, how to ask questions that direct the discussion to areas you know will help you, and how to follow up and project enthusiasm. Of course, researching employers ahead of time is always important, for several reasons, and ITS has a number of resources that enable job seekers to quickly learn a lot, not only about a company, but also about the industry and, backgrounds of key individuals in the company.

ITS offers Personal Marketing Services that goes far beyond Outplacement Career counseling. ITS uses its own unique technology to give job seekers access to as much as 85% of the advertised openings, including those from newspapers, recruiter openings, job boards, employer sites, and trade magazines. It also provides access to the unadvertised job market among employers, recruiters and growth companies.

Investing and Down Market are two terms that, on the face of it, seem to repel each other. However, the two really make a perfect marriage. There are three good reasons to invest your Self Directed IRA funds in a Down Market.

3 Reasons to Invest Your Self Directed IRA Funds in a Down Market

Bargains: Just like a retail store going out of business, you get more for your money when a merchant is in trouble. This is what essentially happens during a Down Market – merchants (markets) are in trouble. This is good news for those who are not looking for quick returns, which is what retirement investing is all about (investing for the long haul).

As an example, let’s say you use your Self Directed IRA funds to invest in real estate. Right now, the real estate market may be cooling, but some of the best investment opportunities can be snatched up with IRA cash as many panic-stricken wanna bees decide to sit out this market. Perhaps the uneducated are waiting for the media to tell them it is OK to invest safely and securely again, who knows? However, in two or three years when the market starts to go up again, then you can unload your good finds to the uneducated investors potentially doubling or tripling your returns on investment. Your retirement account will be singing cha-ching as you pad your retirement account! It’s the perfect example of buying low and selling high. This is the genius behind investing in a Down Market.

Select the Best and Leave the Rest: More of the best investment choices are left to choose from in a Down Market. If you want to see a great return from investing your Self Directed IRA funds, you‘ll be able to pick up some pretty good investments during a Down Market.

Only the strong survive during a Down Market. You only have to look at the number of mortgage companies that have folded to see this. If you wanted to invest your Self Directed IRA funds in mortgages, now you have only the best left from which to choose.

Lessen Losses: In a Down Market, you mitigate possible losses significantly. As illustrated in the point just above, because weak firms tend to disappear during a Down Market, you will make better investing decisions. Hence, the investment vehicles you choose are those who have weathered a weak market, and are likely to produce greater returns in a strong market. For forward-thinking investors, a Down Market is a great time to maximize Self Directed IRA returns drastically.

To learn more about self directing your IRA in real estate or other assets, then contact a self directed IRA Advisor.

One of the favored investments of Self Directed IRA account holders is buying and selling fixer uppers. Fixer uppers allow you to maximize your investment via property flipping. If you choose to flip properties via your Self Directed IRA account, following are three things to keep in mind.

3 Ways to Maximize Your Self Directed IRA Profits When Buying and Selling Fixer Uppers

For those who are patient, flipping fixer-uppers can provide a phenomenal return on for a Self Directed IRA portfolio. Careful research is required to make sound decisions when flipping properties, but, that is the case with any investment. If flipping properties is how you choose to maximize your retirement income via your Self Directed IRA account, keep the following in mind.

Location, location, location: Maximizing your Self Directed IRA investment begins with choosing the right location. In real estate, location is everything. As Realtors are fond of saying, you can fix the house, but you can’t fix the neighborhood. So, start your search by choosing a location with good schools, appreciating property values, a stable city government, etc.

For, these are the things that prospective buyers will be looking for in their home. While it is “just an investment for you,” it will be a home for them.

Property Renovations: Buy properties that need cosmetic renovations only where possible. Many investors, especially novice investors, walk away from perfectly sound deals because they don’t have the foresight to see past the junk. Develop this skill, and you’ll be well on your way to a lifetime of “good real estate flipping deals,” growing your Self Directed IRA profits exponentially.

Cultivate a Relationship with a Rehab Specialist: This will be perhaps the smartest business move you will ever make. This person can look at a property and determine the structural soundness of a potential investment from a non-aesthetic angle (e.g. wiring, plumbing, heating, etc.). If a property is structurally sound and all it needs are cosmetic fixes, it just may be the diamond in the rough to turn your Self Directed IRA investment into a major profit.

The first few days in your new house will feel just as if you’re still packing – just you’ll be unpacking and making a mess. Its impractical to even try to consider being organized and unpacked within one day, unless you have very few belongings, so you should try to unpack in the order you packed, or as close to it as possible – placing boxes in or near the room you’re planning to unpack may be impractical, depending on the size of the house, but makes things easier.

Its perfectly acceptable not to unpack everything in the first few days – if you’ve moved to a new area, you may want to (or need to) explore and familiarize yourself with any public transport, local facilities, or shops in the area. You’ll need to go out and buy at least the basics – saving the ‘big shop’ until you’ve unpacked your kitchen. You’ll probably unpack that and your living room, and if you’re not taking long off work, your home office first.

Unpacking takes place over six to twelve weeks, depending on your family, and you may find that you have to permanently store items in a garage, basement or attic, because there just isn’t the room for them.

Most of your utilities should be on and connected for moving – but you may find that your Internet and phone, cable or satellite take several weeks to be reconnected. In these cases, you should make the most of the change, and unpack as much as you can. After a month or two, your life will be back into its work/life/sleep pattern so consider any break from it, if you can, a holiday of sorts. Once your utilities are all reconnected, you may find you have less time to unpack, so its good to get as much of it out of the way as possible.
If you are returning to work, outside the home, after a move, ensure you know your new route to work, and allow some extra time for the journey….just in case.
